Teaching Practice
Procedure of Teaching
For the teaching practice, I refer to the lesson plan that has been made before. This lesson plan has been consulted with the supervisor. The learning activities were divided into three sessions:
1. Introduction
In this session, I started the lesson with greetings. After that, I checked the student's readiness to start the lesson and checked the attendance. I also explain the learning topic and learning objectives that must be achieved in this lesson. Students are given the opportunity to guess what topic will be learned from the video that I show.
2. Learning Activity
Learning activity is divided into four parts:
-
Orientation: delivery of material through presentation
-
Organizing students: Arranging students to be included in learning activities. In this case, students make groups and open the Kahoot. I also give them the handout. In other lesson, students are given match cards to play games.
-
Guide the learning: Guiding students to fill in each question in the Kahoot and handout, also find the match card. I have the responsibility to make sure that all students can follow every learning activity by solving the problems that occur.
-
Analyze and evaluate process: Students are given the opportunity to share their opinions about their answers in the handout. I give them questions that have no wrong or right answers, purely just their opinions. Therefore they can see the different opinions in the classroom.
3. Closing
In this session, students can give their conclusions from the material that has been taught and ask the teacher about the material that has not been understood.

Time Management and Organizing Activities
Time management depends on the learning activities that will be held in the classroom. However, the overall time management is as follows:

1. Introduction: 5 minutes
2. Learning Activity
-
Orientation: 10 minutes
-
Organizing students: 5 minutes
-
Guide the learning:15 minutes,
3. Closing: 5 minutes
Classroom Management
For classroom management, I try various methods so that learning can be better than the previous class. In the first Indonesian class, students work in groups. In the first to fourth social studies class, students work independently. In the fifth and sixth social studies class, students work groups.
From the various methods applied, the fact is that group learning is more effective. This is because students can help each other if there is material that is not understood. The class also became more exciting and interesting for students, as seen from their enthusiasm in filling out quizzes and handouts.
In teaching, time management is very important. In one teaching session, I only have 45 minutes. The time given must be maximized so that all learning activities can be carried out properly.

Problem Solving
Lack of confidence in teaching

At the beginning of teaching I did not approach the whole class and only focused on the front of the class. However, as time went by, I began to increased my confidence and continued to approaching every student in class. The homeroom also made me closer to the students, so the learning process was more effective.

Language
In each class, students' English skills vary. There are students who are fluent in English and there are students who do not understand English. This becomes my challenge in teaching. Therefore, I try to speak slowly and always give the keywords in Japanese and some examples that is easily understood by students.
